David Weiss focuses his practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and real estate transactions. He counsels individuals and families on issues related to asset planning and preservation as they relate to estate and gift taxation, the costs of long-term care, and other family-specific matters. In preparing an appropriate estate plan, David works closely with clients and their wealth management advisors to ensure that their estate plan best serves their individual needs.

David also handles all types of real estate transactions, including sales and purchases of co-ops, condos, single family homes, multi-family homes, rental buildings, and commercial properties.

Prior to joining Gardner Weiss & Rosenblum LLP, David was an associate at Matthew J. Nolfo Associates and before that he was a legal fellow at a not-for-profit legal services organization, where he worked on clients’ estate planning and public benefits needs.

David has been recognized as a Rising Star in the Estate Planning & Probate practice areas by the New York Super Lawyers magazine each year from 2018 through 2025.

David volunteers with various organizations throughout New York City with a focus on mentorship programs.
